Our technologies significantly improve treatment efficiency and reduce the operating costs of municipal treatment plants.
The use of UMOŚT technology incorporating GPU, Stripping and MBS modules stabilises the processes of reducing COD, BOD5 and hard-to-degrade and even toxic substances, reduces the nitrogen content of the wastewater and helps optimise the sludge management of the facility.
With the use of GPU and Stripping modules in the sludge dewatering station, it is possible to economically, highly efficiently and quickly remove nitrogen compounds from the leachate generated after sludge pressing. As a result, the leachate returned to the biological reactors does not
disturb their operation and does not increase the amount of surplus sludge again. The location of the UMOŚT modules at the outlet of the wastewater treatment plant also allows the wastewater to be treated and meet stringent quality standards.
Among the available applications of UMOŚT, it is possible to use a treatment plant with a suspended biological bed MBS in the form of a by-pass. This allows an easy and quick way to increase the capacity of existing treatment plants that have expanded their agglomeration or those that have broken down and need to maintain continuous wastewater collection while maintaining process reliability and stability.

Sludge reduction
The GPU advanced oxidation technology
triggers the reduction process of the difficult nitrogen compounds and flocculant residues in the post-press leachate. This converts them into
biologically degradable forms. Then, in the MBS module, the wastewater is treated of biological compounds using a suspended bed. The use of our technologies dedicated to municipal
wastewater treatment plants reduces sludge disposal costs and relieves the burden on biological reactors.
Improving wastewater quality
As a result of the increasing awareness of water environment protection, it is necessary for each EU Member State to comply with and implement the recommendations of the Commission's directives. Our UMOŚT technology makes it possible to meet the high requirements in regulations and other legislation governing the quality of wastewater
discharged into water and water facilities. With GPU technology, it is also possible to stop septic processes and refresh the wastewater in the sewage system.
Odour elimination
Hydrogen sulphide is generated in pumping stations, sewer collectors and catchment stations, which not only poses a danger to people but also causes significant damage to the sewer infrastructure. By using GPU technology, it is possible to eliminate odours
and stop the progressive corrosion caused by hydrogen sulphide vapour. Skilful application of GPU technology can eliminate offensive odours from sewage system as well as entire treatment plants.
Waste water disinfection / Antibiotic removal
A major environmental problem is antibiotic and steroid residues that accumulate in sewage sludge and seep into waterways. Not only do they have a harmful effect on aquatic organisms, but they accumulate in them and secondarily enter the human digestive system with food. When absorbed, they penetrate the
circulatory and lymphatic systems and affect the endocrine system in the form of thyroid disease or fertility. By using the GPU system, it is possible to thoroughly disinfect sludge and effluent from the wastewater treatment plant through the ecological oxidation of hazardous
and harmful substances.
Increase in treatment capacity: MBS by-pass
The sudden enlargement of an agglomeration or the failure of a wastewater treatment plant is the moment to apply UMOŚT technology,
especially the oxidation modules GPU and the biological Multi Block System. Modular trenchless solutions allow the expansion of existing municipal wastewater treatment plants on a by-pass basis with the Multi Block System
(MBS) module and local oxygenation with the GPU module, which alone can raise the oxygen level in a weakened reactor by 100 %. The UMOŚT technology allows for the non-invasive
and rapid equipping the treatment plant with additional biological modules and increased hydraulic capacity.
Assistance in emergency situations
If the wastewater treatment plant is poisoned by the illegal discharge of heavily polluted substances, the death of the activated sludge usually occurs. If the biological treatment is inhibited, we can remove difficult and toxic pollutants as an emergency measure and restore the biological treatment plant to normal
operation.
